Possibly the best Argento film there is. Filmed on location in Switzerland, Phenomena tells the story of the daughter (Connelly) of an actor who is making a movie in the Phillipines. His agent sends her off to an all-girl boarding school where she discovers that there have been a series of murders, all females her age. She has also discovered a way of telepathicly communicating with insects. With the help of Dr. McGregor (Pleasence) and her strange powers Jennifer must solve the crime before she becomes a victim herself.

This is Connelly's second film and her first starring role. She did an excellent job of setting the mood of the film along with the music by Goblin, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, and many more. The death scenes are very elaborate and the plot is original. This is a must for any Argento fan, it's his best since Suspiria!
